Happy Father’s Day!
Every father hopes to leave his children something better than he inherited.
Which raises an uncomfortable question:
What exactly has America left behind for the next generation?

The War on Drugs was sold to the American public as a campaign to restore order, reduce addiction, combat crime, and protect communities.
What followed was one of the largest domestic enforcement campaigns in modern American history.
The Death of Marx
Karl Marx identified a lot of real pain, but why did the diagnosis and consequential prescription exacerbate the disease?

@kevinhannaford@LPMisesCaucus@YoungRightUS The irony is that you’re calling this an abstract concept while avoiding the concrete question. Why may politicians do things that would land everyone else in prison?
@kevinhannaford@LPMisesCaucus@YoungRightUS Every state calls itself an enforcement mechanism. Rothbard’s question was simple: why should some people have powers that would be criminal for everyone else?
@kevinhannaford@LPMisesCaucus@YoungRightUS Libertarians don’t believe people become angels without the State. We believe power doesn’t become moral because politicians hold it. Human beings are flawed — which is exactly why no ruling class should control everyone else “for their own good.”
