I have attempted to piece together the narrative of the AI Nigel Farage - Question Time ads
Clearly it is riddled with continuity errors and there are scenes missing (most notably the arrival of Noel Edmonds), but here goes
The AI takeover will manifest as a series of blurry images of Nigel Farage attacking someone in a BBC Question Time location that gets closer and closer to where you live until you’re the one he's attacking
What on Earth is going on with all the Nigel Farage ads in the UK on X, @AdsSupport? They show fake AI generated images of him in violent acts, even holding a gun to a TV presenter. And it takes you to a fake @BBC news article. This is crazy!
The Dig (LucasArts, 1995) didn't achieve the same cult status as Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, or Indiana Jones, but it holds a very special place in my heart.
In terms of atmosphere and immersion, it was one of LucasArts best games ever, and it felt like a true milestone of 90s adventure games.
It was highly praised by magazines but lost some points for its difficulty (too high), making it one of the era's toughest adventures - and diverging from LucasArts typical style which was more on the easy/moderate side.
I wasn't able to finish it without a walkthrough from one of the game magazines back then (Internet wasn't really a mainstream thing yet). So, if you were expecting a Monkey Island level difficulty you soon found yourself in deep waters...
The visuals and music remain absolutely incredible, even over three decades later. The large sprites, the amazing choice and composition of colours, and the movie like vibe felt truly unique.
I always wondered why unlike many other adventure games this one never got a sequel. It certainly deserved one. I am sure those of you who played it remember it fondly.
