Any kind of expectation of harm reduction or even slightly reasonable policy towards climate seems impossible under capitalism. We're headed to a future of climate genocide.
This image from today's IPCC synthesis report is brutal. The existing policy trajectory represents a profound failure of our governments, and of our international political system. We need much more aggressive mitigation and much stronger international cooperation.
@paulmyass@Post_Ioism Completely false, as an example (maybe not a very positive one but still) the patriarchal household of antiquity (Rome, Greece) had an extreme divide between being a political being in the company of men in the city and a domestic life at home. Many such cases throughout history.
@145k4 It's not a compromise. It's your mind, on your terms just altered. Can be very useful to break out of old entrenched paths and patterns and to see things as new again.
And like it all wears off in a few hours anyway.
