Fun experiment from this weekend. The reflections on this car aren't from an HDRI image, they're from a 3DGS @theworldlabs generated environment.
Here's what's happening. Spark.js renders the 3DGS scene into a Three.js cube render target from a predetermined position. That gives us a cubemap to use for the paint, glass, and chrome materials. Nothing fancy on the material side.
This was a quick one, so it's not great. Shadows were tricky to get right, and it needs light and tone matching, but the direction and layering into the same scene is interesting. The assets types start to feel like they belong together.
