If you’re a young man convinced of Orthodoxy, please realize you likely won’t convince your Protestant parents by debating them. You should focus instead on cultivating virtue, so that by the good witness of your transformation in Christ they may be won over to the truth.

Debate is to win over the audience, not the person you are debating. The audience does not have their ego involved, so they can retain the information with a more open heart than your interlocutor whose ego IS involved, and is instead focused on winning, not learning.

Debating your parents, is more often than not, a foolish endeavor. Mostly it accomplishes nothing and often will result in worsening your relationship with them.
