@_OneBeer@TheTilehurstEnd I can't for the life of me understand why when the club needs feet through the turnstiles, they are actively making it harder to do so. So so odd.
100%, and so you should.
Can see the "any misuse of season tickets such as tapping cards where the holder is not in attendance will result in..." Email already.
Although id still disagree, if the stadium was full and demand was off the charts each week, there'd be an argument to some of this.

It's so so poorly considered. I've gone on one aspect, but I think there's multiple reasons why this is just, ultimately, a bad scheme.
@TheTilehurstEnd@Reading106 Good piece this. I can understand why the club have done One Royal, BUT it's the finer points of it that let it down.
I can't help but think with a little more consultation with STAR and even the fan advisory group they may have ironed out some of the issues being voiced now.
@AFrankChristian@TheTilehurstEnd Thanks mate. I think there's even more to write on OR tbh. Not by me I'll add, but this focussed on the loyalty aspect. I think there's a wider piece on the over complication of it all.
As many have said, the issue wasn't how to buy a ticket.
@TheTilehurstEnd@Reading106 Good piece, with the main point being (again) that the club seem intent on solving problems that don't obviously exist and ignoring ones that clearly do. #readingfc
@TheTilehurstEnd@Reading106 Bang on point. It's a complicated solution to a problem that didn't exist. Clearly should have been tested with a focus group of real fans first but wasn't.
@Reading106@SimFromBucks Well done mate. Found the aspect on the changing dynamics of purchasing tickets really interesting, as I hadn't considered it.
Can absolutely see how making something more complex could push away older, less online oriented, fans as well.
@TheTilehurstEnd@Reading106 An excellent read that highlights an unnecessarily complex & disengaging offering from the club for many types of supporter
Im a STH that knows a number of games will be missed - so will loose loyalty points despite paying up front & watching dire football
So disaffected rn
@TheTilehurstEnd@Reading106 Very good article. Sometimes I cant attend home games because I volunteer for a local charity but now even if I have paid outright or monthly for my season ticket I won't get any loyalty points for those games. And as you say releasing my seat to a 40% full stadium is pointless
@Reading106 And of course, as Niall's article says - the stadium is 40% empty most weeks right now.
Why would you put up barriers to entry for people to come? Surely, it should be as easy, as pain free, + convenient for non 100% match going fan as possible to come to games & still benefit.
