@tjhenry109@OriolesStatist1 Sure but Al is a big reason why we won so many games in 2023. (NOT anymore obviously).... Seeing that with Young a bit this season.
Taylor Ward and Rico Garcia are the big trade pieces @JeffPassan mentions in his trade deadline preview
The Orioles are 1.5 games back of the AL Wild Card, should they consider selling these two or keep them for a playoff push? #Birdland
@birdlandminute All of it was a hot mess. Get the bats hot and the pitcher isn't squeezed. Good outfield defense and you don't let in 2 extra runs. Definitely one of those nights. Good news Rays lost and looks like Jays and Yankees might too.
@birdlandminute Been watching the O's since I was a kid ha. So yes. He could also DH but then you lose Adley or Basallo. I mainly just grumble about infielder in the outfield and then over use of relying on analytics and platooning.
@birdlandminute Exactly. You either play your young guys and let them develop or you play guys like Blaze. It depends ok who's hot at the moment. Right now he is. He hasn't been all season. So I'm sure it'll change throughout the season too. Just nlt in CF 😭
@birdlandminute I have but so are guys like Mayo and Holliday. Just don't put him in the outfield is all I ask. He has his streaks. I'm okay benching Mayo/Holliday it it means Blaze is hitting over putting him in CF any day.
@birdlandminute Mayo 3rd, Gunnar short, Holliday 2nd, Alonso 1b Adley/Basallo DH or catcher, Cowser RF, Ward LF, Taveras Center. Rotate Blaze in when infielder and DH'ers need breaks. I'm tired of the infielder in the outfield thing, it does not work. O'neill can go to whatever team wants him 😅
@birdlandminute Would prefer in some ways for some games over Blaze in CF. Its why I don't like constructing a line up based only on analytics and platooning (Elias.....)
