So what is missing from the media is real, authentic, and diverse representation of Muslims. There are 2 billion of us all over the world, and we have different sects, different nationalities, cultures... #readingincolour

A lot of depictions of Muslims we see in the media is either harmful stereotypes or kind of watered-down westernised versions of Muslims which seem to care more about showing us as "good" than just as...us. #readingincolour
