@ellelfhame this insta post by bisexualbookshelf talks about problematic/controversial things in the book (& has a list of great alternatives you can read) https://t.co/MsuaAml633
@folklore_d okay but it still wont be a bad word ever. its literally been used in research for decades and bisexual people use it all the time to express their feelings and experiences as bisexual. it's not the words fault, nor bi peoples, if people refuse to understand what it means.
@folklore_d monosexual is nonbinary inclusive term since everyone can be attracted to nonbinary people! :) it literally is just used to more easily talk about bisexual experiences and how different bisexuality is compared to monosexuality. it's not a bad word and will never be.
@deafmade_stuff@safeforbi the bisexual manifesto can be found here: https://t.co/SpWYAYxPpy :) it's very important in many ways, but i think this article is better if you want to see how bisexuals have defined bisexuality since the 70s: https://t.co/S9K9WBP5xD
@6B_4T_GSL@Cherrybae333@nooobioo bisexual people face homophobia because we are attracted to same sex. but we also face biphobia, which is different from homophobia, because of our multigender attraction. it's not a very hard concept to understand, i don't think.
@6B_4T_GSL@nooobioo you do realize that homosexuality being illegal includes bisexuality too? like you don't think they go "oh you're bi? that's alright! it's just homosexuality thats illegal." right?
@Kelechi65512 how am i "projecting" when thats exactly my point? you are literally saying you think bi peoples queerness is linked to the gender of their partner. do you also think queer people who are not in relationships are less queer?
