One tip: don’t only ask, “Does my story work?”
Ask yourself, “What can I do to make the reader feel more?”

Whether you write scripts, novels, or novellas, sometimes the story isn’t the problem. It’s the execution.

Writers, what's one thing about your own story you can NEVER judge objectively?
The pacing? Characters? Dialogue? Whether that scene you love is actually doing anything?
Sometimes you can stare at the same chapter 20 times and still not see what a fresh reader catches in 5 mins
