ReadTiny

Bizgrok's RSS reader/aggregator service (based on Tiny Tiny RSS).

[ReadTiny @readtiny]

After 7 years of providing a free RSS reader service, I am shutting ReadTiny down. It's been fun, but it's time to put my energy & server resources elsewhere. Log in by 0400 UTC on May 21 if you want to export your feeds in OPML to take elsewhere. – @szarka

.@cyberl3o Good to hear! :) I've never used newsbeuter before, but it looks nice. https://t.co/2MqXDWEY80

[ReadTiny @readtiny]

@cyberl3o I don't know. Are you trying to read a feed of your account? Are you authenticating w/ yr username/password?

[ReadTiny @readtiny]

Migrating the site to new server. Restoring from Monday's backup to avoid possible corruption. Feeds updating now...

[Bizgrok @bizgrok]

Working problem, which appears to be related to hardware failure. Likely migrating customers to da3.

We're up & running on our new server! (Give things an hour or so to shake down, DNS-wise, if necessary.)

[ReadTiny @readtiny]

We're migrating to a new server tonight. Please plan your late-night RSS reading accordingly. :)

[ReadTiny @readtiny]

Now the Old Reader is shutting down, too? http://t.co/f5hkkM2RQE Feel free to drop by and try http://t.co/1Bkp3CtwwS #RSS

For the real geeks, #Snownews is a "text mode RSS newsreader for Linux and Unix": http://t.co/Ge2Z0bkRb8 #replacereader

[Lisa Tozzi @lisatozzi]

But mainly, stay classy. RT @BuzzFeedNews: Google Reader today: "Thank you for stopping by."

We prefer Tiny Tiny RSS, but Sismics Reader looks like a nice alternative to Google Reader for those who dig Java: http://t.co/TeLtnOUPGm

[ReadTiny @readtiny]

We're using #TinyTinyRSS to #replacereader for ourselves & our customers! http://t.co/sHzbpQfa3D

The termination of Google Reader is really divine punishment for all those who turned their backs on the One True Information Source: Usenet

[Jenna @Mercy]

If you're using Tiny Tiny RSS and Reeder, there's a plugin to emulate the Fever API (syncing, yay!):

The @WSJ called Tiny Tiny RSS, the software we use, "minimalist". http://t.co/EnwFokXJ2m Well, OK. But we prefer "lean and mean".

We've added a FAQ to help get you started. Come try ReadTiny and see whether you still miss Google Reader: http://t.co/JF99UWwNIL
