Behind The Perfect Frame by @AmakaAzie peeled back the glossy layers of perfect relationships and exposed the silent horrors that can exist behind curated smiles and picture-perfect social media posts.
A solid 5/5 β read.
Every young girl should read this book.
A Good Name by Yejide Kilanko
Phew...
This book pulled me in gently, then slowly started to unsettle me, and before I knew it, I was carrying this heavy feeling in my chest.
The story is so relatable.
5/5 β for sure.
There is just something irresistible about a best friend's younger sister romance done right. Wild Love by Elsie Silver absolutely delivers the tension, longing, and emotional chaos in the best way possible.
This book is emotional, spicy, funny and easy to binge.
If you're grappling with guilt, self-blame, or physical and emotional scars, you'll enjoy this deeply restorative book.
Brown Roses by Tope Omotosho is a story about surviving yourself after survival, and letting God in.
My rating: 4/5 β
POV: You're invited to a destination wedding in Santorini, Greece... except it's through the pages of a book... π¬π·πβοΈ
Wedding Wahala by O. L. Obonna. Can't wait to read this!
If you enjoyed Nigerian Men Will Stain Your White and wished the story didn't end there, Love and Lies is the sequel you've been waiting for.
I definitely recommend reading both books! ππ½ ππ½
This is one of the tiniest books in my collection, but don't let its size fool you. Reading it felt like having a Feminism 101 conversation with Chimamanda herself.
My copy of CNA's #DreamCount arrived yesterday and I couldn't be more excited!ππΎ
This book is one of the books on my radar for 2025, and I'm glad I now own it. I'm bursting with anticipation to read another of Odeluwa, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's creation!

This is a sequel to Tomorrow I Become A Woman, both written by Aiwanose Odefan. But this time, the story focuses on the daughters of the women from the 1st book β Ego, Zina, and Eriife. I love that each of the ladies story was told through their individual POV. A good read! ππΎ
Aiwanose Odefan has done an amazing job of telling this difficult story. Tomorrow I Become A Woman is a book that will stay with you long after you finish it. I hope after reading this book we will do better as a society. I recommend!

My TBR pile is really growing. But I can't wait to start the book 2 of The Wellspring Series. Been itching to know if Maya and Khari died for real!π

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's vivid description of the characters in Purple Hibiscus made me feel like I know each of them. The familiar cultural details, Catholic practices, Anambra & Enugu locations in the book made it feel more relatable. βββββ

"Nigerian Men Will Stain Your White" is a compelling read. I'm sure it will resonate with any woman who has experienced the complexities of relationships. It's a 5-star read for me, however, I wished the story was longer. Well done Alexandria Humphrey!

"Who Drove Nearly All Lagos Men Mad?" by Ugochukwu Ugonna is a collection of short stories. Some had me laughing, while others left me speechless. The situations are relatable, and with all the familiar Lagos locations mentioned, the book felt so real.
