Leading others doesn't always come naturally but it is something each and every one can learn. Ready2Lead? is a leadership conference in Bedford for Year 12.
Meet our team of #ready2lead ambassadors together with @amanisimps. Since the very first conference we have involved students in the planning and running of the event. We couldn’t do this without them.
Exceptional. Remarkable. Phenomenal. Odd. Uncommon. Some of the qualities of being a leader according to our key note speaker, the brilliant @amanisimps@TheHarpurTrust
Our Education Development Advisor Ritu is one of the key people working behind the scene to bring #Ready2Lead to Bedford. So who better to kick off proceedings. @HT_Education
Embracing technology and hybrid working means that we could still hear from Simon Everitt of @bedford school despite him being unable to join us today. This sixth form leadership programme is very much his baby so his virtual address certainly kicked things off #ready2lead.
One of the most popular online sessions last year was a talk by @amanisimps who inspired our students with his powerful life story. Amani’s journey as a teen led to him being stabbed 7 times. He’s now a social-entrepreneur and youth coach and we’re honoured to have him here again
Well done Harry, Grace, Isabella, McKenny, Matilda, Imogen, Olivia and Ethan - all nominated for their contributions to group work. #futureleaders#selfleadership
Such a broad range of topics covered by the students this year. From homelessness to sustainability to disability. All work is being submitted to the @GlobalGoalsUN competition
An exciting session 3 tonight in our 2020 conference programme with not one but two fantastic presenters. Thank you Mark at @espiredlife and @samrobertsrugby for inspiring our delegates.
