@MarlonPaulAllen@naranciagaming@punished_cobalt Because it changes the pacing of levels designed without the faster movement speed. Unless the new sprint speed is the old base movement speed, in which case, they’ve slowed down the character normally, which is less than ideal for obvious reasons.
@TheDevilDucker@Slonk01 “You’re right it’s not the biggest issue.” Clearly I’m not. I also didn’t call them bad games, I said they were bad *Halo* games.
@TheDevilDucker@Slonk01 Not really concerned with a feature’s longevity when it almost exclusively appears in bad Halo games.
You’re right it’s not the biggest issue. It is emblematic of the vision though.
@TheDevilDucker@Slonk01 Things like sprint don’t make sense with the old map designs though, as the distances were designed with the player’s movement speed in mind.
It’s here as a box-checking exercise, not intentional design.
@assfuckings@ElleCrits@HankMcPym I rewatched the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy last year, and it’s disappointing how lacking in colour blockbusters today are in comparison.
@MRBTENNYSON10@ElleCrits@HankMcPym The colours in the scene above are washed out and in line with overwhelming majority of the rest of the film. The colours aren’t awful for some of the pocket dimension scene, but other issues such as the cinematography and lighting still let it down.
@MRBTENNYSON10@ElleCrits@HankMcPym It’s really not. Everything looks washed out and there’s no contrast to the image. Your average 90s rom-com looked better, let alone the Donner films.
@EzzellVFX It’s not a big deal (particularly late on in the usage of Mark IV, where things could have realistically been updated with new variations), but I’m also a sucker for when an evolution between armour sets is handled perfectly, like the Clone Trooper to Storm Trooper evolution.
@xepyal@HaloNoSprint@Crimson_King_9 You’re missing the fact that 3 was the conclusion of the main trilogy and Reach was a side-entry. Comparing this to 343i’s flip flopping between main entries is comparing apples and oranges.
