Yesterday, my daughter and I were on a 4-hour flight to Chicago. I haven’t traveled with her since she was about 6 or 7 months old, and let me tell you, it was tough 😩. My daughter cried, screamed, threw her headphones, and pretty much did everything you can imagine. Luckily, the couple sitting next to me were really kind and didn’t make a big deal about it.

In the last 30 minutes of the flight, I was feeling a little overwhelmed trying to calm her down when the woman next to me asked if she could hold my daughter. My daughter was reaching for her, so I said okay (it’s not like she could take her off the plane 😊). Within just two minutes, my daughter was peacefully asleep in her arms.

There’s a lot of bad things happening in the world, but moments like this remind me that there’s still kindness. This woman could’ve just put on her earphones and ignored us, but she saw a tired mom traveling alone with a cranky toddler and decided to help. I’ve seen stories like this before, but I never expected to experience it myself. I was so thankful and grateful because, let’s be real, my daughter was doing the most. I’ll always remember this kind stranger’s beautiful act of kindness!”
