These have to be the dumbest takes on the game Skate. I’ve seen some of the criticisms are the map design, the dialogue, the art design, the AI bot, the way they present skate culture in the game, the monetization, etc. Now, some of his takes are understandable like the dialogue being cringe a lot of the time and the way they show the game to be super friendly and PG, but he just goes on about how the game has monetization which how else do you expect them to make money? It’s free to play and it’s made by EA (which is crazy for this kind of company) he talks about the art style and it not having the realistic aesthetic in the game opting for a more cartoonish style which doesn’t even look bad 😂 and the AI bot, good lord, he hates that bot. I don’t know why, but I feel like he just hates AI in general I’m guessing. Now I can understand that it doesn’t portray skate culture as in real life as well as some of the older Skate games but saying it’s unrealistic because you can jump off buildings and go off these big ramps is so ridiculous there are so many unrealistic scenarios in Skate 3 but Skate. having big ramps is unrealistic? I do think some of the features from Skate 3 could’ve stayed, like breaking your bones. I don’t like how a company just makes you invincible and you can’t get hurt. Skating is dangerous, and yes you can get hurt so I do feel like they should’ve kept the getting hurt mechanic. He goes on saying there are many things wrong with the game when that’s just not true. Yes, the game has bad dialogue, yes, there aren’t as many tricks as in older Skate games, and yes, there’s monetization within the game. They are still updating and improving the game. He’s trashing the game because it’s new and is keeping up with modern trends. The game isn’t bad but could do with some updates and improvements.
