Hear @BillSpadea and I talk about Superintendent Robert Beers calling parents "f**king idiots" on NJ 101.5! The next BOE meeting is 10/13 7 PM 638 Newmans Ln!
I have submitted a Letter to the Board President requesting that the Board convene in a Special Meeting. I look forward to a response, if any, from Board Leadership.
Bodycam footage from 2023 shows that Superintendent Robert Beers of Bridgewater knowingly continued to use foul language and speak ill of both parents and town leadership on camera.
This man has no self control.
Jeremy Li: “I am receiving concerning news that many families have waited close to an hour for buses to arrive.”
Superintendent Robert Beers: “…go fuck yourself”
School board member Jeremy Li is on the radio soon with Bill Spadea at NJ 101.5. He asked why school kids were left stranded by school buses for over an hour on the first day of school, so he was rudely treated (told FU) by the superintendent and the school board president.
🚨BREAKING NEWS: On the first day of school in Bridgewater NJ while parents were upset about the disastrous bus situation where kids were lost, one board member Jeremy Li, tried to advocate for parents while the Board President told him to shut up and the Superintendent told him to go f*ck himself.
Is this normal behavior?
Is this how a Board President and a Superintendent are supposed to conduct themselves?
This is conduct unbecoming under N.J.S.A. 18A:17-20.2
A president silencing a colleague while families cannot find their kids fails the School Ethics Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:12-24.1.
I am calling for Robert Beers and Michael Pepe's resignation, this is extremely disturbing from people that are supposed to be advocating for children.
Robert Beers and Michael Pepe should resign. If you lose your composure when children are missing, you do not get to run a school district.
Great time at the John Basilone Parade in Raritan honoring a true war hero and our military! John Basilone was the only enlisted Marine to receive both the Medal of Honor (for Guadalcanal) and the Navy Cross (posthumously for Iwo Jima)! THANK YOU TO OUR VETERANS!
They invented an emergency so they could silence the two board members who do not rubber stamp everything the superintendent and the board president want.
Last night Bridgewater-Raritan BOE used a no-notice “emergency” bylaw at roll call, before those two even sat down, so the meeting would run under the president.
Their "emergency" was debate. Points of order. Amendments. After the superintendent was publicly called out for shutting a meeting down with no authority to do that, the majority changed the referee.
This is not order. It is a captured board protecting an administration from oversight. If they can rewrite the rules to nullify the only two votes that check them, parents in this district have no representation left, and every parental-rights fight in the country should treat this as a warning. @AAGDhillon@EDSecMcMahon
This should matter to everyone because of how they are operating.
A public board is supposed to answer to the public. This one answers to the superintendent. When two members will not play along, they change the rules, cut the mic, blame records requests on “the kids,” pack the room, and let staff and the union run the smear.
@EDSecMcMahon and @AAGDhillon already punish districts that hide information from parents.
Bridgewater-Raritan is showing every other board how to dodge that.
Call debate an "emergency". Rewrite the process before the holdouts sit down. Make transparency the villain. Bury the actual failures, like buses that never showed. Keep the majority. Kill the oversight.
If that method works here, every captured board in the country just got the blueprint.
me, but I will continue to fight because families deserve transparency and educational excellence.
“The following statements are made in my capacity as a private citizen, and not in my capacity as a board member. These statements solely represent my own personal opinions.”
Last night, the Bridgewater Raritan Special Interests Union asked for my resignation. Here’s my message to the families of Bridgewater: I will fight for every family, every child, and every taxpayer. Tooth and nail. They can shut me down, they can take away my mic, they can mock
