@MsMelChen@charlesmurray His recollection of the means in 'The Bell Curve' is, I think, correct. I was referring to his mention of scoring "85 percent."
Sort of like the time he cautioned a young woman in graduate school that, if she were to have a child after 35, the child would be a "Mongol". ๐ฌ
@EsotericCD John Bernthal's acting is the bane of contemporary mainstream cinema. In every picture, he effects the persona of an early 2000s finance bro who lives in Murray Hill.
@EsotericCD His strength, in the excellent assessment of Douglas Trumbull (who worked with his fair share of all-time greats), is creating "visual interest" on the screen. He seems to have a blind spot with respect to selecting stories.
How can you support @nathancofnas, unjustly suspended by Ghent University?
Sign up for a paid subscription to his Substack.
And if you already have a paid subscription, as I do, give a gift.
I just gave one to an excellent @MasonEconomics colleague.

@Mileage_impo You keep posting BMWs, but the practical question is, how does one find one that lasts half a million miles instead of one of the (ubiquitous) BMWs that begins throwing dozens of codes at 40,000 miles?
