@kela9123 Fed had 5 RG Finals and 16 Masters Finals on clay.
His W-L on clay in 6 seasons (04-09) was 100-7 (93.5% win rate) against players other than Rafa.
Rafa is the only reason why Fed is not considered as top-3 clay career, he could've easily won like 4 RG and 12 Masters on clay
@JosipFCB93 In his 3y with PSG he's played 75/98 (76%) League 1 games, which is significantly more than in his La Liga career (55% of all games across 6y), so apparently working hard helped him to stay healthier
@big_business_ No, but several guys came somewhat close
Rudy had 92% and 93% of the votes in two of his winning years
Dwight had 91%, 94% and 97% in his 3y run
Ben had 91% and 97% in two of his years
@KJEastman42@NoaDalzell There are already at least 2 ballots revealed where he's in top-3, Michael Pina even had him at 2nd place for DPOY
Realistically he's not winning, but he'll get some votes and probably will be in the range of 4th to 7th in the voting
@BiggLynch@paulpierce34 Also had 150+ steals - to this day it's the only season in NBA history with 200+ threes, 80+ blocks and 100+ steals
It gets better: he lead the NBA in points that year (2144) and then gave the Celtics first conference finals in 15 years
Truly unique season from a special player
@lil_trevino24 Something happened in Phoenix. In his first 15y he was 88.6% FT shooter, from 2015 to 2022 he was 89.5%
Then his 2.5y for Suns he was just 84.7%, even 83.9% last year
This year seems he has mostly fixed it as he's at 87.6% but some games he just randomly starts missing a lot
@SpankHorton I think he's #6 if you consider all-time achievements
Top-3 of Russell, Kareem and Shaq have ≥4 titles and ≥4 MVP/FMVP
4-5 of Wilt and Hakeem both have 2 titles and 5 major awards (MVP/FMVP/DPOY)
Jokic is at 1 title and 4 awards. Close to 4-5 places but not quite there yet
@TA1297 It's crazy, Tatum missing 64 games, Brown missing 9 games and we're still 54-25
• 6-1 w/o both Brown and Tatum
• 2-0 w Tatum only
• 35-22 w Brown only
• 11-2 w both Brown and Tatum
Winning in whatever conditions, I can't see any other team in the league doing this
@TA1297 I'd argue that it's much more on JT than JB. Tatum was just bad in 4/6 games and kept chucking shots - 20 FGA on 36.7%, 65.6% on FT and complete meltdown in G6 (13p, 5 TOs)
JB had 2 bad games but overall shot 43.1%, 80.6% FTs, less TOs and he actually was great in G6 (34p)
@BGNHoops Same series where he averaged 13 ppg on 16/63 (25%) shooting in the remaining 5 games, including 9 points and 5 turnovers masterpiece in G7. He also had more turnovers (17) than FG made (16) in those 5 games, so...yeah
@BobbyMarks42 Good examples of why the rule should stay
Bron in 19' with 55G on a team that missed playoffs taking a place of LMA who played 81G (!) averaging 21+9+2 and carried Spurs to playoffs is something that should never happen. W/o the rule voters will default to the most popular stars
@MarkLazerus When it's all said and done, he's probably top-15 all-time if not top-10. Crazy talent and consistency level both in regular season and playoffs
@BGNHoops He'll need like 4 more years of ~65 games on 23ppg
Possible but tough
(1) he had bad injury luck and will probably have a season of <55 games
(2) old age, he'll need to stay sharp until 41yo
Getting that #3 spot from Malone could be very feasible though
@ESPNInsights Only one guy has ever done a season with 200 threes, 75 steals and 75 blocks, which was Paul Pierce in 2002 (210/154/86)
Derrick already has 188/75/93 and will be the second one - a very impressive season for him even with shooting slumps in Nov and Jan
@HPbasketball In 2.5 years
Had similar level / better performances in
late 2023 w Memphis
• 20+2+5+5, 54%
• 23+5+9+3, 53%
• 29+2+5+1, 59%
• 25+6+8+3, 45%
and in 2023 playoffs with Celtics
• 24+3+8+3, 47% (R1G3)
• 22+7+7+2, 53% (R2G6)
• 23+3+2+5, 58% (CFG5)
@Praise_Ffs He also went through KO stages of all 3 tournaments w/o conceding any goal in 10 games, while winning 2 penalty shootouts (incl. 2008 vs prime Buffon) and saving in-game penalty from Cardozo (career 87% penalties scored) vs. PAR in 1/4 of WC-2010
No one is ever doing that again
@bayali_ He was the key player before the injuries, crucial for the 2022 CL title and in general played 85 games (23 in CL) his first 2 seasons.
After the injuries he's just not the same, last 3 seasons his role was 5th CB or 3rd LB and he played only 44 games in 2023-2026
@JefferyxBball Bam had a good chance for HoF with 2 Olympic golds, 2 NBA Finals, 3 All-Star and 5 All-Defensive selections.
This game just boosted his chances from probable to definite 😅
