🧵 1/ This is the story of how I got pushed off this platform by a large political account- and how it accidentally turned me into someone who studies online manipulation, bots, and propaganda patterns.
Not a victim story. A pattern story.
Investment accounts owned by President Trump engaged in more than 300 previously undisclosed stock purchases on April 8, 2025, one day before his surprise announcement that he would pause a number of his tariffs, his financial disclosure report says. https://t.co/WqQb7csmVS
The DOJ under trump is a complete joke.
They just INDICTED Olympian David Hearn for grabbing a piece of the shitty, ripped reflecting pool, and being "rude and belligerent."
Jeanine Pirro will NEVER be taken seriously.
Complete clown show.
@BreannaMorello Why are you more upset with the mayor for following long-standing grid management guidelines than with the energy companies that receive grants, subsidies, and tax breaks to improve the grid, funded by our tax dollars, while reporting massive profits year after year?
Donald Trump tried to massacre Congress and kill his last VP.
Mamdani suggested to NYers to set the thermostat to 78 degrees.
Proof both parties are the same.
Biden gives $12 Billion for trade schools & vocational training.
Blue collar Maga: Fuck Biden!
Trump gives $10 million to Maga Mike Rowe.
Blue Collar Maga: 🥳🎉 This is what I'm talking about! Trump really loves our kids!
In which the president buys Micron stock before making an announcement that skyrockets it 400%, personally netting millions, then demands a kickback from the company to try to soften the public blow of his organized crime.
Then he tries to pump it more…
This is unbearable.
If you’re complaining about being asked to set your thermostat to 78° to avoid a blackout, and not the utility companies price gouging us while reaping billions in profits and neglecting necessary upgrades to the power grids, then you just hate the messenger, not the message.
@EndWokeness Why are you more upset with the mayor for following long-standing grid management guidelines than with the energy companies that receive grants, subsidies, and tax breaks; funded by our tax dollars, while reporting massive profits year after year?
Ah, see, we actually have a lot in common. I agree that Andrew Cuomo and Kathy Hochul seem to be corporate-owned. Unfortunately, I think that’s true of far too many politicians, regardless of party. They keep us peasants busy fighting culture wars and treating politics like it’s a team sport while they and their donors make money off their positions and our tax dollars.
You’re also right that we need a hybrid approach—renewables, carbon-based energy, and nuclear. That’s simply a more resilient and strategic energy policy. There isn’t one single source available today that can reliably meet all of our power needs, so putting all our eggs in one basket doesn’t make much sense.
The OTHER big issue is data centers. We need them, but there are more efficient and environmentally friendly ways to cool them and smarter places to build them. Those options exist—they just cost more, and corporations often don’t want to make the investment. Reducing that energy demand would take a lot of pressure off the power grid.
And then there’s the grid itself. Most energy companies are private, yet they receive grants, subsidies, and tax breaks to modernize infrastructure. Meanwhile, many report massive profits year after year, yet parts of the grid still feel like they’re being held together with glue, tape, and bubble gum. That seems like a fair question for the public to ask: if grid modernization is such a priority, where is all that money going, and is enough of it actually being invested in making the grid more reliable?
This is some of the dumbest, most ass backwards fucking shit I have ever seen, and it’s all because the weirdo in chief has an irrational hatred for windmills.
I’m frustrated that the MASSIVE polarization has damaged our ability to work together to fix problems. The manufactured outrage after 14 years has worn THIN!
On a good note, they are all outing themselves. Department of Energy deleted the page with guidance regarding temperature last night, so now we have information to suggest this is a coordinated propaganda campaign that the White House is aware of at the VERY least- likely orchestrated, but we have to stick with the evidence we have and not over claim.
The original retweet of Nikki Haley’s tweet included a readers added context section pointing out Haley also asked people to conserve energy in her prior statements. The right wing leadership at Twitter removed the reader’s context. So now I’m attaching Haley’s prior statement.
@bscholl Are you going to offer this to Texas too? Their state asks exactly the same thing year round.
I can’t believe all of you hacks think this is something political. Every state does this.
Yes! It’s honestly made it VERY easy to see who is on the dark money payroll! Added bonus is this paid coordinated propaganda campaign is EASILY disprovable. I think it’s serving multiple functions, though. Distraction, flooding the zone, loyalty test/roll call, and market research.
the 78 degree thermostat thing is obvs a paid talking point. major political influencers and operatives sign up with an organization and then are paid to repeat things on a memo, not unlike fashion writers who are given freebies and money to say things. you are seeing shills.
