Did you know: when you hesitate to do something in your life—out of fear of disappointing “People,” getting laughed at by “People,” or embarrassing yourself in front of “People”… when you move around trying to please “People” or think “People” are haters… 99% of this figment of your imagination you call “People” is never more than one or two actual people you know.

Think deeply: who is that person in your head that you consider “People”?
Put a name and a face.
•It could be your childhood bully.
•The gossipy bitch from church.
•A judgmental aunt or uncle who always criticized you.
•The loser from school who had the nice sneakers and seemed cooler.
•Your abusive ex.
•A shitty parent or step parent

Find out who that “People” in your head really is, and you’ll quickly realize how fucking silly it’s been living your life looking for their approval. Put a name to those “People,” and you’ll slay the imaginary power they’ve had over you for so long.

In therapy in my mid-30s, I discovered that my “People” for the longest time was a particular deacon from Calvary Baptist Church, who used to call me and my friends “strap jacks” and said we’d never amount to anything. Lol. Imagine making career decisions to try and prove something to some fucking deacon from my childhood church 30 years ago? 🤣

My other “People” was a rich kid (Peterhouse) from my past who took my then-girlfriend from QE during extra lessons at Speciss College in 1996. Can you imagine, 20 years later still amplifying that guy’s importance in my life? Think his name was Mau? I forgot.

Figuring out and conquering my “People” delusion has been life-changing.
•No: People don’t care.
•People are not waiting for your album.
•People won’t think your dress is ugly.
•People won’t laugh at you for homeschooling your kids.
•People won’t think loving your spouse is weak.

“People” don’t actually exist. It’s just someone. Some cunt from a long time ago who you’ve given more power than Zimbos give Zanu PF.

Imagine when people say things like People don’t like Wicknel? Yet he gets mobbed on the street where ever he goes by People cheering. Same with how People are said to hate Twabam Java?? People are tired??? Which “people”? We Astro project this collective called People , a lot.

You can have different “People” for different situations. “What will People say??” You ask?? Remember it’s not “People” holding you back. It’s your fucking imagination.
