On this day in 2000 a local California band played their first show under the name "Linkin Park" - performing at Hollywood's Coconut Teaszer.

They had gone by "Hybrid Theory" for a while, changing to Linkin Park after Chester's suggestion based on Santa Monica's Lincoln Park.
