I dont believe there is a level of unacceptable poverty. Homeless people reject food offered to them; nobody is going to starve in America bc they dont have EBT.
@The_Sublimatory@JayMan471 Welfare is a subsidy that hides the true cost of children.
Phase 1 - remove incentives (EITC)
Phase 2 - remove subsidies (food stamps, welfare)
None of this involves creating or increasing incentives/subsidies for rich people, although that would speed up evolution.
@The_Sublimatory@JayMan471 Eliminating welfare wouldnt starve poor people to death, but it would promote them having fewer children (and they certainly wouldnt be rewarded for having more than replacement rate).
