🛑 ICE Shock Gloves Coming Sooner Than Expected 🛑

ICE's shock glove rollout is moving faster than anyone expected, according to ICE agents who I've been in contact with. The first gloves are set to hit the field in December.

Word is that one or two agents on each team will be trained and equipped with the gloves as a "special tool."

The gloves are the G.L.O.V.E. (Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter), made by aptly named Compliant Technologies of Lexington, Kentucky. ICE signed a $16.7 million contract in August for 6,000 pairs, which will go to Enforcement and Removal Operations and Homeland Security Investigations officers.

They work like normal patrol gloves until an agent flips a switch. Then they deliver up to 380 volts on skin contact, overloading nerve endings to cause pain without freezing the body the way a Taser does.

An Army study in ICE's files found that "inmate compliance was immediate." ICE calls them "distraction and de-escalation devices" meant to end fights before they ever reach lethal force.

Border czar Tom Homan said publicly it could "be awhile" before the gloves reached the field. If agents are right about December, that timeline just got a lot shorter.

California has already banned all officers in the state, federal included, from using them, but the Supremacy Clause laughed in their faces.

Looks like Christmas will have something special in store for ICE agents nationwide.
