@pickover This illustrates that an equation can only contain variables not words like " n times" or " times 2", to be an equation which can be manipulated through algebraic operations and calculus.

In an equation everything has to be a variable ( x,n, z, etc) to be considered an algebraic equation.

Forexample:
2n=n times two
Differentiating with respect to n:
2=1.
Again, 2n=n times 2, dividing both sides by n, gives 2=1.
