Credit to Panasonic for continuing to support physical media playback and recording with new hardware. There is no better possible signal for their unwavering support. 👏

Crazy how far Sony has fallen off in terms of reputation and love from gamers between PS4 era and July 1, 2026🚀

✅Disappointing first party games for PS5
✅Barely noticeable generational leap
✅Push for live service failed miserably
✅Many games cancelled
✅Many studio closed, some with no games
✅Bungie deal biggest waste of money
✅Plan to end physical games by Jan 2028

And now they’re accused of (not officially confirmed but speculated based on data and reports):

✅Engineering and exaggerated data to claim physical discs don’t sell

✅Attempting to create a monopoly

✅Claims or using bots to defend digital-only gaming future

It’s really sad to watch, especially after Sony was the untouchable darling of the industry just few years ago.

They really need to do away with those tone-deaf and creatively bankrupt CEOs and bring Shuhei Yoshida, who’s actually passionate about games and gamers.

Keep up the pressure
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY

PlayStation Streamers who are speaking out against Sony will be temporarily banned 🤦🏻‍♂️

@Pirat_Nation Ultimately the real villain isn’t Sony it’s all the morons who buy digital games when physical is available

@Victor_Lucas Petitions are nice, but swift action is vital here. Gotta cancel PSN+ and any digital preorders you may have.

[ksncobra @ksncobra]

@Victor_Lucas And people should actually buy physical media or we all look like hypocrites. The digital sales vastly outstrip the physical media numbers. And that’s disappointing to me when I always buy physical when available. But I feel a lot of people don’t practice what they preach.

[H.E. Ripley | He/Him @HaydenArcadia]

@Victor_Lucas Saw the petition elsewhere and signed, also cancelled my PlayStation Plus subscription.

[Bay Street Video @BayStreetVideo]

Shameful.

[Alex Cali @RealAlexCali]

@PS_Support_US @Sony How about you keep disc drives in your next gen console and drop this “digital only” BS?

[Alex Cali @RealAlexCali]

@DiscussingFilm Idiots…

[Alex Cali @RealAlexCali]

@PS_Support_US Hope you keep your disc drive for the PS6… going full digital is idiotic!

[Alex Cali @RealAlexCali]

@thehdroom @XBOX Add Dolby Vision playback for 4k blurays and I’ll happily buy one!
