The Bartlesville Police Department is looking into a shots-fired incident that occurred Friday afternoon in the 1300 block of South Armstrong Avenue.

Officers arrived near South Armstrong Avenue and West 13th Street shortly before 4 p.m. after multiple calls reported gunfire in the area.

Early details indicated that high-school-aged individuals appeared to be involved.

Upon arrival, police located a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both in possession of firearms; they were taken into custody without any additional resistance.

According to preliminary findings, the situation stemmed from a verbal dispute between two groups of roughly five people each.

During the confrontation, one individual fired a single shot into the air, after which both groups dispersed from the scene.

The person suspected of discharging the firearm remains at large, authorities noted.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

The investigation continues, with officers gathering additional evidence, identifying all involved parties, and working to establish the complete sequence of events.
