अमेरिका में 100% टैरिफ वाला बिल पास होने पर भारत ने बिल्कुल सधी हुई प्रतिक्रिया दी। विदेश मंत्रालय का स्टेटमेंट आया- “हम अपने 140 करोड़ लोगों की एनर्जी सिक्योरिटी पक्की करने के लिए पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध हैं।”

कोई “ईफ-बट” नहीं! आमतौर पर कूटनीति में शब्दों का इस्तेमाल कम और नपा-तुला होता है। लेकिन यहां ऐसा नहीं दिखा। स्टेटमेंट में आगे लिखा- “हाल की हाई-लेवल मीटिंग में वॉशिंगटन को यह बहुत साफ तौर पर बता दिया गया है कि इस कानून का भारत-अमेरिका संबंधों और ग्लोबल एनर्जी मार्केट पर क्या असर पड़ सकता है।”

मतलब कोई अंधेरे की बात नहीं! हमने आपको पहले से बता रखा है। आगे अमेरिकी टैरिफ की पुरानी धमकी के खिलाफ भारत की प्रतिबद्धता और साफ तौर पर दिखी। स्टेटमेंट में लिखा- “हम अपने व्यापार और आर्थिक हितों की रक्षा के लिए सभी जरूरी कदम उठाएंगे और साथ ही इस स्थिति के असर से निपटने के लिए इंडस्ट्री के साथ मिलकर काम कर���ंगे।”

मतलब- तैयारी पूरी है। ट्रंप बार-बार हैरान नहीं कर सकते। इस बार चौंकाने की बारी भारत की थी। शायद अमेरिका को इसकी उम्मीद नहीं रही होगी।

Mentre altri parlano di patrimoniali, noi togliamo una tassa sulla proprietà.

I met with India’s Minister of External Affairs @DrSJaishankar. We discussed important issues. We are grateful to India for its commitment to ending this unjust war – Russia’s war against Ukraine. This certainly must not be a time of war. Peace is needed. This is India’s clear position. Today, while the Minister was here with us in Kyiv, Russia once again launched jet-powered “shaheds,” which were developed not without Iran’s help. Thanks to our combat aviation, the delegation was safe, because it is Ukrainian fighter jets that shoot down most of these drones. We hope that other major world powers will also take a clear stance that this war must end and that a reliable peace must be achieved.

Of course, we discussed the situation in the Black Sea, including the existing threats to civilian shipping. We concur that it is absolutely unacceptable to block food supplies to regions where this is a highly sensitive issue and where people depend on these maritime routes. Russia’s actions aimed at blocking our ports, our food corridor, and our supplies are causing major disruption to global relations. We must all work together to guarantee security. Thank you!
