Thanks @DoctorTro and @brianlenzkes for having me on @LCMDPodcast, alongside @AdrianSotoMota. We got into what we are building with Glyvance and why adherence, not information, is the hard part in clinical nutrition. https://t.co/RFiQGQIDBx
Out at breakfast. Me: I’m trying to go low carb is it possible to swap breakfast potatoes? Waitress: I can give you fruit.
Me: is there anything with no carbs and no sugar (yes I acknowledge there’s no difference), like avocado? Waitress: sure, want orange juice?
It’s time to start talking about the state of public knowledge. Conservations about nutrition need to start with the basics. What is a carbohydrate? Fruit still counts as sugar even if it’s “natural.” Potatoes contain starch. Sugar and starch both count in carb counts.
Thrilled to see Glyvance and our founder @realbrianruby featured in this LowCarbUSA article! 🚀

Glyvance is tackling one of the biggest hurdles in low carb and ketogenic nutrition: adherence. We deliver chef-prepared meals, CGM integration, AI coaching, and a clinician portal that makes it easier for patients and providers alike.
Looking forward to the 2026 Symposium for Metabolic Health in San Diego (Aug 13-16) where we’ll be sharing more of our science and connecting with the community! If you’re attending please join us.
Shoutout to @lowcarbusa, @AdrianSotoMota

A pragmatic look at the drugs capturing everyone’s attention. The success of the GLP-1s underscores the importance of metabolic health. How do you achieve better metabolic health? Certainly this class of drugs can help, but the foundation is diet/lifestyle.
Are GLP-1s “miracle drugs?” It sure seems like it. Starting as diabetes drugs, they became weight loss drugs and are now expanding into true “miracle drug” territory.
They reduce cardiac events, lower cancer rates, and even reduce alcohol dependency. I find this fascinating and worth examining. 🧵
This past weekend, America celebrated 250 years of independence with fireworks, cookouts, and freedom. But here’s a question worth carrying into the week: Are we truly free, or have we become subjects of a new crown—processed food and those who profit from our plight?
6 in 10 American young adults now manage a chronic illness indefinitely. It’s 8+ in older adults. When did “lifelong management” become the best we could ask for?
We think real freedom starts on the plate. That’s why I started Medifoodz.
Chronic illness is the quietest dependence in America: managed forever, resolved never. Freedom from that is worth declaring too. 🇺🇸
I never imagined I would see this messaging from our government.
It's almost like they want us to be healthy.
We are entering a new era of health and wellness.
@Marijn3D Sure, I'm happy to look at the literature that indicates UPF is good for you. Let's hear the counter narrative and discuss the evidence. Post it in response.
@Marijn3D You know there are lots of different diets. Scientists have great disagreements about which is best for human health. The one thing there has been zero disagreement on is the negative role of UPF. Respectfully, I disagree with your take.
@NutritionMadeS3 I'm not suggesting it's a health food and I take your point but are you really not happy artificial dyes have been removed from common items? They may not be the whole story but does anyone think this isn't positive?
@whitfieldlewis6 This is such a wonderful and clear explanation. I’m copy and pasting your post into AI and seeing if it can generate a pretty diagram.
