SEC MOVES TO SUPERCHARGE IBIT OPTIONS WITH 1 MILLION CONTRACT LIMIT
The SEC just posted a Nasdaq ISE proposal to boost IBIT options limits.
Position and exercise caps would jump from 250k to 1,000,000 contracts.
In addition, physically settled FLEX IBIT options would have no limits at all, a change driven by IBIT’s rising liquidity and hedging demand.
They only raise limits when demand is genuinely straining the system.
Moving from 250k to 1M means IBIT options trading has grown so much that the current ceiling is constraining institutional strategies.
That’s a clear signal of rising big-player interest.
Higher limits and expanded FLEX capacity deepen the options market, making IBIT easier to use for hedging, structured products, and income strategies.
This is what happens when an asset graduates into core macro territory.
And by making room on-exchange, the SEC and ISE are also keeping institutional flow out of the opaque OTC market, which is a long-term win for liquidity and transparency.
HOWEVER: larger limits also allow larger short positioning, so this doesn’t guarantee upside in the short term and may introduce more volatility around key events.
Net takeaway: structurally bullish for IBIT and Bitcoin’s maturation, but neutral to uncertain for near-term price action.
Most people I know aren't in $ETH, because they think "a few x's" won't change anything for them and it's not worth it. Instead, they invest in solana for a hope of much much more ROI.
But here's the take:
I believe, Ethereum is about to do the same as BTC in a smaller manner.
It's about to surprise a whole lot of people, on how much it can really multiply in itself.
Yes, alts will do good later on.
But I think, the most safest asset aside from BTC, is obviously ETH. And that's where institutional money is bidding HARD.
They see it, they invest and they hold it. They feel comfortable and safe. Not like with altcoins.
ETH is primed
ETH is the future

Coinbase confirmed on national television this morning that sovereign wealth funds are buying bitcoin in the last few weeks, but no one seemed to notice or care.
That would have been unfathomable just 2-3 years ago.

Good news. Ethereum ETF options approved. Was 100% expected. Today was final deadline. I personally don't see it on the SEC website yet but id be shocked if it weren't true.
