The US election system (democracy) is dead and buried thanks to the SCOTUS "Citizen United" decision allowing those with the most money to influence election results. So are the American people (functionally dead) as they can be influenced by the candidate with the most money and not the candidate with their best interests in mind. All it takes is a SuperPac to throw millions of dollars at a race to swing it in their favor. And Americans are too stupid to understand that they too are responsible for the destruction of this Constitutional Representative-led Republic.
