Feeling stuck doing things you don't want to do? Ask an impossible question enough times and you might end up finding an answer.
"Okay, I don't want to do Y & Z anymore. But I want to achieve X.
So how can I achieve X while removing Z & Y completely from the equation?"
There's no point doing something if you don't enjoy doing it. Just be yourself. And add value to other people's lives in whatever way is fun for you. And the world will open up.
My goal is no longer to get more done, but rather to have less to do.
Less obligations. Less distractions. Less bullshit.
Yet still achieve all the things I want to achieve.
For YEARS I tried to force myself to do things that deep down I didn't want to do. It lead to a lot of self sabotage.
Screw being a CEO. Screw hiring a team. In fact, screw building a business to begin with.
Have realized there's way easier paths to get to where I want to go.
Get clear on what you want, and what you don't.
Then start asking different questions. Perhaps there's way to achieve your version of freedom right now. Instead of in 5, 10+ years.
The solution is often simple. In fact - life itself is simple. We're the ones that complicate it.
Being able to spend your days as you wish is the ultimate freedom.
But it's so easy to get trapped in an endless cycle of grinding your way there. All because you asked the wrong questions and set the wrong goals.
Last week I sent a simple plain text email to an old customer list. Wanted to see if there were still receptive eyeballs there.
It was just a fun re-engagement test. 0 sales pitches or new offers.

Woke up feeling super grateful this morning. I'm sitting on my back deck - coffee in hand - and appreciating everything it took to get to where I am today. Both the good and the bad. And all the things that need to happen in order to get to where I want to go next.
Itβs been 12 months since I ran any kind of business, or actively tried to make money. And I certainly needed it.
To just βbeβ for a while.
No pressure to reach the next milestone. No constant whirlwind of everything that needs to get done.
