@NCAngieKay@WallStreetApes@fsturgeonfl The small amount of fungicide and insecticide on the seed to protect from diseases and insects are not obvious to the casual observer. Colorant is added to treated seed to indicate that this is not just grain.

Getting ready for some cover crop demo plots in IN/OH. Camelina (left) and Cover Cress (right). Somewhere around 300,000 - 400,000 seeds per pound. Trying new things. #cover crop #camelina#covercress
@Dylancastellior@bell76275700 For your situation, with a “vast amount of manure” this may be a great system. For those without a “vast amount of manure”, or more erosion potential, it’s a whole different world.
Whitley County, IN. I keep seeing corn that’s flat in color and firing on the tough ground. It can’t be that good. But we handle mild droughts better than we used to, and there is precious little foliar disease. Just give us one more rain…#yield#plantpathology
@MrBissell_917 wireworm is more red/copper colored with 3 pairs of legs in total - if you can see them. this looks more like a millipede. look for many legs - 2 pairs on each body segment. Rarely a pest. more likely just feeding on dead/decaying material. An indicator of good soil biology.
