@zuesey16363@DrewPavlou Per capita is substantially higher, but the rate per billion KM driven is much closer. Americans have to driver everywhere, more deaths will occur as a result.
@Readyfor_Freddy@Nirgal451 Mr Fazbear, the reason the Americans get mad is because we will be having some light soccer banter and then you all get pissy and start talking about healthcare and school shootings. All this while never doing your required land acknowledgment , making the tweets invalid.
@histofevery_yt2 Survival training is pretty common and important, but the US military doesn’t make them whittle arrows and make arrowheads from flint like the Hopewell tribe native Americans.
@Gordicans@k_mahlburg You guys don’t have much of an argument other than calling people racist huh? Rest of the world figured out that doesn’t work like 5 years ago.
@cannab1senjoyer@loganrobinson@SyndieKat Each level has a set of pay bands associated with it. Under the current contract you get a 1.6% yearly raise and could get more depending on what is given by the president/congress. https://t.co/snjKXY9a3p
@cannab1senjoyer@loganrobinson@SyndieKat It depends on what facility you go to after passing the academy. There are levels 4-12 facilities and pay increases the higher you go. Enroute center track has 10-12 facilities right out of the academy, while most Tower and Approach control tracks will be level 8 and below
I do not believe that affirming the fundamental importance of respecting Canada’s two official languages in any way interferes with the investigation, nor does it diminish the grief and sorrow we feel for the lives that have been lost.
On the contrary, a life lost must also be a life honoured. And honour begins with dignity, with respect, with being addressed in a language that reaches the heart of those who mourn.
Imagine someone knocking on your door to tell you that a loved one has been taken from you, yet speaking in words you cannot understand. In that moment of profound loss, confusion would compound grief. It would feel distant, impersonal, even disrespectful.
Language is not a detail in moments like these. It is the bridge between tragedy and humanity. And in a country founded on two official languages, that bridge must never be broken.
Bloc Leader Blanchet is calling on the Carney Liberals to pressure the Air Canada board to fire CEO Michael Rousseau.
The reason: an English only response after the LaGuardia crash.
Of everything happening in Canada and Quebec right now…
this is the priority?
This has gotta be some of the most ridiculous discourse I’ve ever seen. People dead and lives ruined and we have people offended over the language a message was delivered in.
Sir,
We understand that the French language seems to irritate you, as though it were an inconvenience rather than a foundational element of this country. But the facts remain.
One of the pilots was a Quebecer, a francophone. His family and loved ones deserved to hear a message in French. Out of respect. Out of dignity. Out of basic humanity.
And beyond that, there is the law. Air Canada is subject to the Official Languages Act. It is a law, sir. Not a recommendation. Not optional. An obligation.
This does not diminish the tragedy or the suffering of the victims. It simply affirms that in Canada, respect for both official languages is not conditional, especially in moments of national grief.
And if the message had been delivered only in French, you would be asking the same question. So let’s ask it honestly, both ways. Because respect cannot be one-sided.
@jack_chiza@TN_Truther@IsaacPunts I’ve been greatly enjoying the AFL since moving to Australia. Gotta find a way to set up a direct to Ohio State pipeline.
6’5 Australian TERA-CHAD Androgenic has flown to U.S and BONESMASHMAXXED in order to HUNT down the ASU frat leader and engage in a MOG-OFF to avenge Clavicular after the BRUTAL frame mog incident that took place last week 😳
