This is my honest advise to any beginner trying venture into remote work especially AI training
1. Learn basic computer skills, MS office packages esp Excel, Word and google sheets. You can learn from YouTube or apply free short courses in platform like ALISON
2. Learn what data annotation is, data labeling and all that, easy from
YouTube.
3. Get a good functioning laptop, camera and mic should be working properly. Speed should be good as well, you wouldn’t want a ‘hanging’ device.
4. Start applying locally available platforms like Oneforma, micro1, etc. Don’t listen to critics from people who failed secure gig there, it’s them who failed not you. Go ahead try and have a taste of how interviews and assessments look like.
5. Advance to survey platforms like paidsay, prolific etc, by now you will have grasped the WORKFLOW.-Very important
6. Advance to platforms like Handshake AI but as a Tasker, interact online and get to learn from YouTube how to task and onboard.
7. If you’re outside legible regions start building connections with people abroad, join their groups on reddit and fb, africans in diaspora, tech groups etc. You will get atleast a friend who will help you create a high paying remote work account.
