I commend all our patriotic front-line soldiers in the fight against terrorism in all forms.
You stand as a shield between innocent citizens and those who seek to destroy the peace, safety, and dignity of our communities.
In the forests, on the roads, at forward operating bases, in the air, creeks, and across difficult terrains, you carry the burden of national protection so that millions of Nigerians can sleep, work, worship, farm, trade, and raise their children in hope.
This fight has not been easy. It has come with pain, pressure, and sacrifice. But your courage has remained firm. Your service is acknowledged. Your sacrifice is honoured. Your country does not take you for granted.
To every officer and soldier of our Armed Forces, to the Police, DSS, Civil Defence, intelligence services, local security formations, and all who work day and night to keep Nigeria safe, I say thank you.
I also acknowledge the families behind the uniform. Many of you have endured long absences, anxious nights, and the emotional cost of duty. Nigeria remembers that sacrifice, too.
We honour those who have paid the supreme price in defence of our country. Their names may not always trend, but their courage lives on in rescued communities, protected families, and the survival of the nation they served.
The fight against terror is not only a military operation. It is a national duty. Citizens must support our security forces by providing timely, useful information. When you see something, say something. When you know something, report it.
Nigeria will not surrender to fear. We will not allow terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, or violent extremists to define who we are as a people. Their violence is not our identity. Their hatred does not represent Nigerians of any faith, creed, or community.
To our troops and all front-line patriots, thank you for your courage. Thank you for your vigilance. Thank you for your service.
May the Almighty protect you as you protect our country.

Nigeria recorded the greatest improvement in business activity among eight major African economies in May, defying mounting inflationary pressures triggered by escalating tensions in the Middle East that have pushed up global oil, fuel and fertiliser prices.
BusinessDay's analysis of the latest Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) reports from S&P Global showed that the PMI in Africa's most populous nation rose by 3.24 percent to 54.1 in May from 52.9 in April, marking the highest reading since April 2025...

Enough is enough. The killings, abductions of innocent Nigerians, and the unleashing of terror on our people cannot continue. These senseless killings and heinous crimes must stop.
Terror does not ask for your tribe, faith, region, or political affiliation before it strikes. Our response must be stronger than our divisions.
Today on Politics Today, I called on all Nigerians to put aside political, ethnic, and religious differences and stand united against the common enemy threatening our collective future.
Criticise what must be criticised. Demand accountability where it is due. But above all, let us stand together.

RE: FALSE AND MISLEADING SECURITY ALERT ON ALLEGED THREATS IN IBEJU-LEKKI, IMOTA, OKE-AFO AND OTHER PARTS OF LAGOS STATE
The Lagos State Police Command has seen some viral social media posts and accompanying graphic material falsely alleging that Ibeju-Lekki, Imota, Oke-Afo and other parts of Lagos State are under invasion by armed bandits targeting schools and children.
The Lagos State Police Command categorically states that the claims contained in the circulating posts are false, misleading, unfounded, and intended to create unnecessary fear, panic, and apprehension among residents. There is currently no security crisis, invasion, or coordinated attack on any school or community in Ibeju-Lekki, Imota, Oke-Afo, or any other part of Lagos State. The Command wishes to reassure members of the public that schools across the state remain safe, while the Police and other security agencies continue to maintain adequate security presence and surveillance in all communities.
Regrettably, the spread of this false alarm has already resulted in a tragic and avoidable loss of life, of one Kulaha Ayuba ‘m’, aged 24 years, a commercial motorcycle rider, some youths of the community, acting on the false and unverified belief that armed bandits had invaded the area, allegedly labelled him a Fulani bandit, attacked and fatally assaulted him. His motorcycle was reportedly stolen, while his body was subsequently discovered in a swamp within the community. Following the swift Police intervention, fifteen (15) suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently under investigation. The Command assures the public that all those found culpable will be made to face the full weight of the law.
The Command condemns the deliberate dissemination of unverified information capable of causing chaos, inciting public disorder, and promoting ethnic profiling, mob action, or hatred against any group of people. Residents are advised to disregard such posts and refrain from sharing materials whose authenticity has not been verified through official channels. The Command has consistently warned against the spread of false information and fake news capable of jeopardising public peace and security.
Furthermore, individuals found responsible for originating, publishing, or deliberately circulating false and inciting information capable of causing public alarm, disorder, ethnic tension, or violence will be investigated and prosecuted in accordance with applicable laws.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, urges residents to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding while continuing with their lawful activities without fear. Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious activity through the nearest police station or established emergency channels rather than relying on unverified social media content.
The Command remains fully committed to the protection of lives and property and assures all Lagosians that adequate security measures have been emplaced across the state to sustain the peace and security currently being enjoyed.
SP ABIMBOLA ADEBISI, anipr, mipra,
POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER,
LAGOS STATE COMMAND, IKEJA.
1ST JUNE, 2026.
You are a f@@l.
Where was this energy when IPOB and ESN were burning police stations, k*lling security operatives, and enforcing sit‑at‑home in the South‑East? Where was your call for civilians to "carry guns, drones, jazz, and cutlasses" then?
You were silent. Because you are not interested in solutions. You are interested in weaponising the suffering of one region to attack the government.
Now, let me educate you:
Nigeria is not a vigilante republic. Civilians arming themselves and marching into a forest is not bravery it is chaos. It is how you get massacred. It is how you start an ethnic war.
The military exists precisely to do what you are asking civilians to do. And the military is already doing it.
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have rescued 92 kidnapped victims in Borno alone in a single operation. Operation FANSAN YANMA just rescued 31 more in Zamfara and Katsina. There is no state where troops are not actively searching for kidnapped citizens including Oyo.
So do not sit on your couch, type n0ns£ns£, and insult the people who are actually risking their lives.
If you want to help, join a vigilante group legally. Provide intelligence to the police. But do not spew armchair general n0ns£ns£ while mothers bury their children.
The government is not perfect. But your suggestion is Stvvvvpid, dangerous, and irresponsible.
So Shut FVVVVVVVVVVVVCK up.
