AB 2017 has passed the Assembly and is now headed to the Senate! Next stop â the Senate Governmental Organization Committee, it will be heard on June 23, 2026.
AB 2017 would add Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha to Californiaâs state holidays. Courts would stay open, but schools and community colleges could close if local boards and unions agree. State employees could use leave or holiday credit to observe Eid or other cultural or religious holidays on their communityâs dates, and schools could hold related educational activities.

(CALIFORNIA GLOBE) Thursday, June 18, 2026, FBI agents and Homeland Security Investigations personnel descended on Skid Row in Los Angeles, and conducted interviews with homeless residents as part of a voter fraud probe tied to the June 2, 2026, statewide direct primary.
Videos surfaced after the June 2 primary showing Skid Row residents claiming they were offered or received small cash payments (e.g., $2â$4) to register, sign multiple forms, forge signatures, or fill out voter info/mail-in ballots, sometimes directed toward specific candidates in the LA mayoral race (e.g., incumbent Karen Bass) or other contests. LA County election officials forwarded concerns to law enforcement, the New York Post reported.

(MJ Media) Harmeet Dhillon, assistant attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justiceâs civil rights division, has announced a ânew dayâ for protecting parental rights and punishing those who violate them.
The Democrat Party has become the party of child grooming, and lefty LGBTQ radicals across the country â especially in schools â have been grooming kids while either lying to parents or outright denying that parents have any right to protect their children. California even requires schools to hide "gender transitions" from parents who believe in basic biology, and other states' schools have acted similarly. But such groomers will no longer escape without consequences.

(California Globe) So now, Gov. Gavin Newsom has proposed a new $8.85-per-month, per-enrollee tax on commercial health plans, including employer-sponsored coverage, ObamaCare plans, and Medicaid. If it passes, the California Association of Health Plans estimates that families will see their premiums rise by roughly $400 a year. Thatâs not a projection from a partisan think tank. Itâs an estimate from the insurance industry itself, and even sources typically sympathetic to expanded healthcare coverage arenât disputing the math.
Newsomâs tax is expected to generate roughly $575 million in 2026-27, ramping up to about $2.3 billion annually in later years.

(CALIFORNIA GLOBE) In the dead of night, California Democrats advanced a record $355 billion budget that includes significant new tax increases on digital software, insurance, and payroll-related costs, prompting sharp warnings from business groups and Republican Assemblyman David Tangipa.
Tangipa took to X late Monday night with a blunt video message titled âMIDNIGHT TAX INCREASES!â
âIn the dead of night, California legislators passed massive new taxes on insurance, digital software, and employee payroll taxes,â Tangipa said. âDonât let anyone fool you this isnât the federal governmentâs fault. The math isnât mathing.â

(The White House) On June 14, 1777, the delegates of the Second Continental Congress adopted a resolution declaring âthat the flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation.â In the 250th year of our glorious Republic, this Flag Day celebrates the American People, whose enduring spirit allows our beloved and timeless tricolor standard to fly as the greatest symbol of freedom, democracy, and sovereign strength the world has ever known.

(Harbingerâs Daily) A New York town supervisor is fighting a bill that would force the state to replace âmotherâ and âfatherâ with gender-neutral terms in parts of state law.
Democrats in support of the bill claim the change would be more âinclusiveâ of LGBTQ people who have different âgender identities.â The New York legislature passed the bill on June 2. It would replace âmotherâ with âgestating parentâ and âfatherâ with ânon-gestatingâ parent in sections of state family law. The word âpaternityâ would also be replaced with âparentage.â The replacement applies to education law, child support statuses, family court cases and family codes. The bill awaits a signature or veto from Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul.

(Daily Signal) After the Daily Signal first reported that the Council on American-Islamic Relationsâ California chapter accepted millions in federal tax dollars to help resettle Afghans, the Department of Health and Human Services has announced that it will probe the funding.
âHHS has requested a review of allegations involving @CAIRNational and its affiliates, @CAIRCalifornia and @CAIRWashington regarding the use of federal grant funds,â Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wrote on X Tuesday. âAmericans deserve full transparency when taxpayer dollars are involved. If there is evidence of fraud, abuse, or ties to designated terrorist organizations, we will act.â
Kennedy, citing that âaccountability is not optional,â announced that he privately shared his concerns with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and encouraged him to conduct a full âreview of any information relevant to this matter.â

(HARBINGERâS DAILY) Thereâs something different about this June. There are fewer rainbows. No, Iâm not talking about the sign of Godâs covenant that appears in the sky after a storm. Iâm talking about the rainbow flag that has become the symbol of Pride Month.
For years, June brought a predictable wave of corporate logos, advertising campaigns, themed merchandise, and public celebrations. Parents learned to pay closer attention to commercials in family programming, sports fans grew accustomed to Pride-themed uniforms and promotions, and many city streets became venues for often indecent displays at Pride parades.
This year is noticeably different. The symbols are not gone, but they are far less prominent. Itâs premature to say Pride has fallen, but it is fair to say the appeal of Pride Month has faded.

The Los Angeles mayor's race may not be as dire for Republicans backing Spencer Pratt as we thought. The "democratic socialist" (read that as 'Commie') candidate who recently surpassed him for the coveted second-place slot on the general election ballot, Nithya Raman, appears to have connections to some homeless voters, and it sure looks like there were some pretty egregious shenanigans going on.
Thousands of homeless voters were registered to vote at LA shelters â despite many not living there or the facilities not having any beds.

AB 1973 would expand abortion in California by allowing more providers to perform abortions at any stage of pregnancy. This bill removes important limits and continues pushing policies that do not truly support women or protect the unborn.
Women deserve real care, real support, and real compassion not policies that can lead to deeper physical, emotional, and psychological harm.
AB 1973 will be heard in the Senate Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee on June 8, 2026

AB 1876 would expand legal protections for gender-affirming medical care for minors.
It would classify gender-affirming treatments for minorsâsuch as puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and possibly certain surgeriesâas protected or covered medical services.

(HARBINGER'S DAILY) Attorneys with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and Alliance Defending Freedom filed a brief with the U.S. Supreme Court urging it to hear the case of a devout Orthodox Jew suing the city of University Heights, Ohio.
In January 2021, Daniel Grand e-mailed a dozen friends to invite them to his home to pray as a minyan, a âthreshold requirement for the most sacred acts of Jewish communal worship,â that upcoming Sabbath. But when city officials found out about the e-mail, and before any minyan convened, the city demanded that Grand âimmediately cease and desist any and allâ uses of his home as a âplace of religious assemblyâ unless he first obtained a special use permit, which the city requires for houses of worship in residential districts.

Separation of Church and State does not meanâŚ
⢠A separation of righteousness and State (that would be evil)
⢠A separation of politics and religion (thatâs impossible)
It means a separation of governments â that the same person shouldnât be President of the government and Pope of the Church.
Our nation was founded on freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion.
