The law is the law. It does not matter for how long the law has been violated. Article 138(1) & (2) of the Constitution, on the Procedure at presidential election, categorically provides:
(1) If only one candidate for President is nominated, that candidate shall be declared elected.
(2) If two or more candidates for President are nominated, an election shall be held in each constituency.
Voting at elections is conducted as provided under Article 86, which provides:
86. At every election, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries
Commission shall ensure that-
(a) whatever voting method is used, the system is simple, accurate, verifiable, secure, accountable and transparent;
(b) the votes cast are counted, tabulated and the results announced promptly by the presiding officer at each polling station;
(c) the results from the polling stations are openly and accurately collated and promptly announced by the returning officer; and (d) appropriate structures and mechanisms to eliminate electoral malpractice are put in place, including the safekeeping of election materials.
From the law above, there is no way the results for the Presidential elections cannot be announced at the Constituency as required by the Constitution. #ReKe #GetitDone #KnowYourConstitution
Richard Onyonka: The affordable housing owes Ksh. 1.2 trillion in pending bills. Why must we operate the country as if it is a ponzi scheme? #CitizenDayBreak
I don't have to say much/more. Really.
My position/opinion on the issue of illegals and selling of our documents (identification/travel) has always been clear.
@WilliamsRuto and Murkomen. We know what you did.
Kenya’s Ksh 12.8 Trillion debt trap cannot be ignored.71% of our revenues go directly 2 debt servicing,to pay off loans that Kenyans never saw or approved.ANY loan that BYPASSED Parliament is #odiousdebt.If it didn't benefit the people,the people shouldn't pay it back #DeniBandia
He even lied to the people of Uasin Gishu
He promised this to all the victims of what I call the "manadago scam".
What happened 😅
Semeni WANTAM
The Internet never forgets.
Once you touch people's livelihoods, payslips, businesses, farming, source of income, it becomes personal, irregardless. Politicians need to understand this fact.
Now Ruto wants you to be part of a “national conversation.” He wants public participation. He wants to hear from you.😂😂
He even said young people will be at the centre of this conversation. Which young people? The ones your administration killed? The ones you and your Interior CS were ready to shoot in the legs? The ones who can’t even freely tell you where you’re going wrong because they’re afraid of being abducted?
Funny how quickly things change. During the height of the 2024 Finance Bill protests, the very people he now wants to engage were also dismissed as criminals. Today, we’re suddenly important enough to be consulted. The irony is impossible to miss. All over sudden Ruto has realized you the people have the POWER🙌🏾
Yesterday’s speech told us everything we needed to know. This man has no plan.
Just fake strength, teleprompters and A million lies🚶🏿♀️WANTAM!!
Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah wants High Court to declare tallying and verification at the National Tallying Centre illegal, says results announced at the Constituency level are final.
