The Minister of Transportation, Senator Alkali, reported progress on the Kano-Katsina-Maradi rail line, a 284km project connecting Nigeria to the Niger Republic, aimed at boosting trade and economic integration.

The rail line will pass over Kano, Jigawa, and Katsina in Nigeria, and extend into Maradi, Niger Republic, with 15 stations along the route, promoting regional trade, community development, and cultural exchange, in line with President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
