Welcome to Reality TV Stats.
We track live social media reaction while the UK’s biggest reality TV shows are actually happening.
Every post we collect is analysed contestant by contestant to measure:
Positive sentiment
Negative sentiment
Popularity & mentions
To Win support
Recurring reasons behind the reaction
Our “To Win” data is deliberately strict. Predictions about who will win aren’t automatically treated as support for who viewers want to win.

Since Sunday, we’ve analysed over 20,000 #BBUK tweets across the live shows — and so far Week 4 belongs to Twinks.
🥇 Twinks: +1,026 sentiment
🏆 67 “To Win” mentions
She’s miles ahead on both.
If a winner vote opened right now and these stats translated into votes, Twinks would be absolutely smashing it.
Still plenty of Week 4 to come 👀

Ever wondered how Reality TV Stats actually works?
During a live show, thousands of social media reactions are collected and analysed as they happen.
This is where AI comes in.
It doesn’t simply count how many times a contestant’s name appears. It reads the context of each reaction, works out who the comment is about, and decides whether the reaction towards that contestant is Positive or Negative.
If the system isn’t confident enough about what somebody means, it can stop and leave that reaction out rather than guess.
AI also looks separately for people specifically saying they want a contestant to win. Those mentions are kept separate from the normal sentiment figures.
The system is deliberately strict. A name appearing in a post doesn’t automatically mean there’s an opinion about them. Crowd reactions aren’t automatically treated as the poster’s own opinion, and ambiguous comments aren’t forced into Positive or Negative just to create a result.
Every accepted reaction feeds into the live stats, allowing you to watch public sentiment change throughout the show and across the week.
It’s not a poll.
It’s not voting data.
It’s not a prediction.
It’s a live picture of what people are actually saying online, analysed at scale using AI.

Reality TV Stats has had a BIG upgrade 👀
The live leaderboard now ranks every contestant by Total Sentiment, with their actual social media reaction updating throughout the show.
And this is the clever bit…
As the reaction changes, the leaderboard changes with it.
If someone suddenly gets a surge of positive reaction and overtakes the people above them, their entire row moves UP the table live.
If sentiment turns against someone, they can start dropping.
🥇 1st
🥈 2nd
🥉 3rd
Contestant photos, mentions, To Win support, positive and negative reaction and Total Sentiment, all together on one live leaderboard.
It basically turns social media reaction into a live race throughout the show.
And underneath it, you can still follow how each contestant's sentiment has moved across the entire week.
This isn't a prediction or a voting poll, it's showing what the analysed social media reaction is actually doing.

We analysed 456 comments/replies across 2 Facebook posts (links below) on the Omar/Twinks/Yasmin clash.
Of identifiable sentiment:
Omar: 64% favourable / 30% unfavourable
Twinks: 31% / 64%
Yasmin: 25% / 73%
Omar had the strongest “to win” signal. Twinks was net negative but had a vocal support base, while Yasmin attracted the most eviction talk.

Something very interesting happened in our @bbuk data tonight.
Twinks entered the house tonight and the reaction was immediate.
From the social posts analysed by Reality TV Stats:
Twinks received 283 positive reactions, more than three times any other housemate.
She finished on a +227 overall sentiment score.
But the most interesting figure is To Win.
Our To Win classifier is deliberately strict. A positive comment doesn’t count. Saying somebody will win doesn’t automatically count. It has to show genuine support for that person winning.
Twinks recorded 16 To Win mentions.
Across every other housemate in the table, there was just 1 combined.
At the same time, Twinks has moved straight into the leading group in the Big Brother winner market at around 4.6.
We’re not saying this predicts who wins. It doesn’t.
What it does show is that our live social data picked up a huge and very clear surge in support for Twinks almost immediately after she entered the house.
That’s exactly what Reality TV Stats was built to measure. #BBUK

@bbuk we’re going live!
Throughout tonight’s show and for the rest of the series, we’ll be collecting the #BBUK conversation in two-minute windows and analysing every post individually for positive, negative & total sentiment towards each housemate, as well as who people are backing to win.
The stats will update throughout the show, and you’ll be able to follow the sentiment graph as public opinion moves in real time.
Our analysis is deliberately strict. If the sentiment isn’t clear, we don’t force it.
We’re live from tonight and throughout the rest of the series.
