I built 20+ marketing agent skills for Claude Code, which also works for similar AI coding assistants that use the Agent Skills framework (like Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, and Roo Code).
Completed 13 weeks of intensive learning and officially earned my certification from Marketing in Action.
@realjaymes put so much into this course. I hope more people get the opportunity to experience the next cohort.
Thank you @itsMoveek ☺️ I love you oga mi
Scrolling through Instagram and I see this Shelby Sapp’s video on how she walks up to construction workers and “uses a sales tactic” to get cigarettes from them.
Now don’t get me wrong, Shelby is phenomenal at sales…but this right here illustrates what Nassim Taleb described as the “swimmers body illusion”.
This would be a long read. But bear with me, this would help you think clearly and make better decisions.
So Nassim Taleb wanted to lose weight, he decided to check different sports and what the people who participated in it looked like.
Joggers looked scrawny and unhappy
Body builders? Broad and stupid
Cyclists? So bottom heavy.
But swimmers? Now these looked phenomenal. Their bodies streamlined.
So he decided to sign up at his local swimming pool and train hard twice a week.
A short while he realized he had succumbed to an illusion.
Professional swimmers don’t have perfect bodies because they train excessively…rather they’re good swimmers BECAUSE of their physique. i.e. How their bodies are designed is a factor for selection NOT the result of their activities.
You also see this when female models advertise cosmetics and many female consumers believe the products make you beautiful meanwhile, the models are born attractive and then selected to market the products
This is what the swimmers body illusion is, when we confuse selection factors with results.
Back to Shelby Sapp—and by extension other creators.
Whenever you see a creator who tends to be good looking go viral or become known for their craft, you’re safer to assume that it’s largely because they’re good looking than their skills ALONE (virality on social media can’t be divorced from appearance).
Because someone who is significantly less appealing would likely be unable to pull it off.
Therefore the results are not as a result of skill set but genetics—aka who they are.
THIS SCENARIO…(I’m being specific…where…)
Shelby Sapp walking up to construction workers in yoga pants and asking for a cigarette has NOTHING…to do with being good at sales. Instead it has everything to do with the fact that she’s a good looking young woman.
It’s attraction at work not really persuasion.
This is akin to when good looking people who observe that strangers are nicer to them, assume people are nice instead of concluding that they, themselves are good looking.
Therefore as a rule of thumb…it’s better to learn from people who very close to you. Demographically, Psycho-graphically.
If you’re faced with a choice to hire two people of equal skills and experience but one is significantly more physically attractive than the other…you’re safer to hire the LESS attractive option, because if they’ve been able to make such career progress despite being conventionally unattractive it safe to conclude that they’re good at what they do.
This way you eliminate the risk of falling for the swimmer body illusion.
I hope this helps you make better decision.
(In who you choose to learn from and how you buy things)
@callmi_koko Well people generally want incentives to give reviews. Both the ones that got a product/service from you for free or at a discount, or the ones that paid. Same difference. You still have to give them something more to get a review. Very interesting customer behavior.
@thefetom I have like 70 accreditations and certifications. I also have an MBA. None of these is as useful as doing the work consistently and learning in the field.
But it sounds good to flaunt these around 🤣 so yes please get that masters. 💪🏾

Instagram influencers popularized stacking multiple interests into their so-called “target audience setup”.
Now you have to reeducate business owners that targeting is not about that anymore. It’s just like keyword stuffing for SEO. The platform algorithms get smarter over time
@thefetom Lol not yet. But it has excellent leading indicators. Strong hook rate, hold rate and thruplay completions. The creatives are doing their work.
It’s up to the offer + webinar delivery.

@yfly58 This is really valuable. Getting the course when it’s out.
One question is that can someone based in Nigeria apply this selling to the US market? Or moving to North America increased your chances of success.
I wake up every single morning with my heart racing. Did this really happen? My precious son, Nkanu Nnamdi. My KanKan, my diokpala. The ultimate and utter loneliness of grief is that only you can know the true depth of your despair. I long for, at least, peace to mourn, but Euracare Hospital has robbed me even of that.
I have decided to make this letter public because to keep silent about Euracare’s evil is to enable it. I do not want anyone mentioned to be personally targeted. I have erased two names and left two for clarity and credibility. Since the letter was sent in April, Euracare has become uglier.
It was Euracare which first applied for an inquest in January, stating that our son’s death was unexpected and an inquest was in their interest because of ‘rumours of negligence.’ Yet they have stalled and muddied and obfuscated. If this is how Euracare manages a crisis, it is little wonder it mismanaged our precious son’s care. Most egregiously, Euracare is now asking a High Court to stop the inquest. An inquest is a public judicial inquiry designed to establish the circumstances surrounding a death. It is not a trial. It is not a claim for damages. It is simply a search for the truth. If Euracare cares about the truth, then why create delays and distractions and now, finally, try to stop an inquest?
A person high up in the hospital ownership told my relative – “I admire and respect Chimamanda so much that I don’t want her to go to court because her name may be dragged in the mud and bad things may be said about her since court cases are about winning and anybody would do anything to win.” What a manipulative and implicitly threatening message to send to a parent whose child died in your hospital. But this threatener does not know how fiercely we love our child. They can drag all they wish in the mud, but our quest for justice will continue. I am deeply grateful to all of the people from across the world who have genuinely wished us well. May you find comfort in your own time of need. Please continue to pray for us. This weight is too heavy.
