West Point has a lot of dumb rules, but one I think is sensible and should apply to all companies everywhere is you can't use acronyms for the first couple of months.
It should extend to jargon too. It's really easy to blend in after a couple of weeks by just pattern matching on the jargon everybody else uses. Next thing you know you're a year in and you still have no idea what anything means.
Speaking in jargon is the easiest way to hide the fact that you don't know what you're talking about
I understand the mechanisms and incentives behind why companies shrinkflate their products..but it's my absolute least favorite phenomenon of inflation.
