Last night's finale of Lanterns is a rich study into:
Nature vs. nurture
Teacher vs. student
What part of ourselves are our choices
What do with power we've been given
That will unfortunately be forgotten because it had no giant green lasers or goofy aliens.
I’m so happy that a comic book show like Lanterns exist, one that is willing to deal with deep existential and human issues in a such a thoughtful manner
The thing I noticed from the DCU thus far, beyond the idea of legacy is how you’re not bound by your cultural destiny & upbringing but a need to inspire. Not by erasing the past because that’s still a part of you, but creating your own identity with your own flaws and aspirations
