I remember reading The Diary of Anne Frank and Hiroshima in school. They made me feel uncomfortable because that’s a normal human response to seeing people suffer. The idea that white children are entitled to be shielded from facts in order to avoid “discomfort” is laughable.
There is an account posting viral videos about "trans people in classrooms."
Yesterday, the viral video was of a mom chewing out a teacher over a pride flag being hung up over a USA map.
Today, that mom is now the teacher in the same classroom with a fake trans person yelling.
A jury read these messages from my rapist and still not everyone on that jury believed me. Even with watertight evidence women are not believed. This is the climate we live in, and yet we still ask “why didn’t she report”?
This is the culmination of the hyper-individualist response to systemic problems: a worldwide climate crisis that threatens much of the life on Earth being met with “you can adjust to it.”
I can’t believe the right wing media were wrong about trans womens’ breast milk, I wonder if there are other things about trans people that they say that are similarly untrue! 🤔
