🇻🇦 POPE LEO XIV GETS A WHITE HORSE NAMED PROTON

Vatican tradition just got a cinematic reboot.

Pope Leo XIV has received a white horse named Proton - a gift from Polish breeder Andrzej Michalski, who said he was inspired by an old photograph of a pope on horseback in Peru.

The stallion, described as “spirited but gentle,” was blessed in a short ceremony at the Vatican stables before being presented to the pontiff, who reportedly smiled and quipped,

“Every shepherd needs a good horse.”

Michalski, known for breeding competition-grade Lipizzaners, said Proton was meant as “a symbol of peace, endurance, and renewal” - and, apparently, papal horsepower.

Expect memes. And maybe, one day, a Vatican cavalry cameo.
