Be forgiving and understanding toward your parents. This is their first time being parents too, and they did not have easy access to information or the internet back then. Much of what they knew about parenting came from how they were raised by their own parents, and some of them did not even have that, or grew up orphaned, or yatim(like both of my parents). Be gentle with their shortcomings. Choosing understanding and forgiveness will nourish your soul.
