@Cerus_R@KMBK_ARKADIA The extremes of both sides are rediculous and need to leave children alone.
We're just currently sitting closer to the left-side extreme.
@KMBK_ARKADIA In our case it's students that study worthless subjects, educators that actively misinform, and workers who actively try to get other workers fired.
@kekmoe1069 but it's heavily weighed against the communal benefits of society.
If someone uses copyrighted material, it can be claimed as a copyright infringment, but there a lot of protections to allow the use of copyrighted materials, and the original creator needs to show proof of harm.
@kekmoe1069 Yes, it's certainly the root.
America is founded on the principle of sharing creations as much as possible to give rise to further creations.
Copyright is there to give authors the ability to market their creations and make profit, โ
@tuuu28283 As someone in America, being called 'brother' especially from someone in another country gives off an endearing feeling.
I think most of us find it kind and gives the impression of wanting to get along and comradery.
@kekmoe1069 I don't think the values themselves are any less admirable from one-another's, it's just the weight we carry one over the other.
The U.S. values the creation greater than its creator.
Japan values the creator greater than the creation.
That's the impression I get.
@kekmoe1069@bukky_kancolle Sorry, I forget that translations might make a mess of symbolic or metaphorical phrases.
I just meant I think Japan and the U.S.A. are still pretty closely aligned, despite that it's overseas.
But yes, I agree with your sentiments.
@Akim_X There are different types of chainmail, some thicker than others and will basically stop everything at the cost of being heavier than what regular plate armor would be.
They were very aware of the dangers of disembowelment and infection from the intestines.
@Akim_X It's actually often not as exposed as you think.
They can't put solid plate over it, because they have to be able to bend at the waist.
Instead, the gambison is already thick cloth armor.
They often also line the stomach region with chainmail. โ
@kekmoe1069@bukky_kancolle I don't think Japan and America are all that distant.
While I think you might be referring to Ubisoft, I know they recently went bankrupt and needed to be bought by Tencent a few years back
That's the only one I know of going bankrupt, the rest are trying to change course first
@kekmoe1069@bukky_kancolle An "Indie" company is usually defined as being a small company that's privately owned, and doesn't have a large budget or financial backing.
They tend to be small teams of people.
But yeah, it's a good change. I think it marks the change into a new era of media in the U.S.
@kekmoe1069@bukky_kancolle I know in terms of the game industry, a lot of skilled creators have abandoned and left the companies they worked at before.
now instead, we are having a drop in big companies, but a rise in independent "indie" creators doing things in smaller businesses.
I think it's been good
@kekmoe1069@bukky_kancolle A lot of companies this year have been seemingly making shifts back into a more traditional side of culture, no longer pushing the fringe ideas so hard.
I know Pixar has outright stated that they want to go back to making movies that are appealing, instead of pandering.
