Covering the border tensions with Thailand in Cambodia’s Pursat province in August 2026.
A ceasefire between the two countries has been holding since December 2025, but a risk of renewed armed conflict remains.
Since the December ceasefire, our EWP has received numerous reports of fighter jets crossing into Cambodian territory and observed instances of gunfire and drones along the Cambodia-Thailand border.
Thousands of civilians remain unable to return to their homes, while Thai military positions and barricades continue to expand into areas historically claimed by Cambodia.
The situation remains tense, with civilians living alongside an increasingly militarised border.

@omer_bar@pureguava10300 Bro, roughly 40% of weapons of Thai military are from China. However Israel weapon are superior and helped Thai military to achieve its goals.

Thai media are hungry for a Cambodia scare story and decided to completely mischaracterize an unchanged U.S. State Department travel advisory.
Amarin somehow turned it into “U.S. warns tourists: do not go to Cambodia.” Manager Online went with “Dangerous territory!” TOP News simply screams “Danger!”
The actual advisory is UNCHANGED and remains at Level 2. The “Do Not Travel” warning is for areas within 50 km of the Thai border because of the Cambodia-Thailand conflict.
And Phnom Penh crime? This is the typical overly cautious State Department due diligence, not some new warning that tourists should stay away.
If this is the game Thai media want to play, maybe the State Department should issue a special Pattaya warning. Take every robbery, scam and ugly crime story there and run “DANGEROUS THAILAND!” across the top. Same standard.
@CleansedTweets Actually naming the road or street after foreign leaders is kind of thing Cambodia done it along ago, you can find such Charles de Gaulle Blvd (217), Russian Federation Boulevard, and proposed Trump Highway.
@Komokie6767 They stole by just copying and past without realize there is a line indicating the name of this Sak Yant because they can’t read Khmer alphabet 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@janelli_sm Thais always said they ruled Cambodian for 400 yeas, but there is no a single temple built by Thais inside Thailand nowadays. Same thing applies to arts no Thai art in Thailand all are Khmer art.
@ATOA1366957@KhaosodEnglish You think Israel sharing their knowledge for free to help Thai army? Probably Thailand just let those fatigued IDF Soldiers healing peacefully in this island without disturbing from local and other tourists.
@Rattapoom_K They protect their property from thieves nothing wrong, you expect them to use stick instead of gun?. Thais trying to occupy the temple when they can’t they just destroy it.
@JKJUNGKOOK777 Thai people like to blame others for their own actions, even a Thai airways crew member smuggled drugs to Australia their government their medias spinning PR to finally blaming Laos and Myanmar instead of corruption their own airports.
