HORRIFYING: Yasmeen Khan, owner of a beauty salon, offered free courses to young Christian and Hindu women to lure them in. Once there, she drugged their drinks. When they lost consciousness, she called her husband Mohammed Khan, who raped them while she stood watch at the entrance. They recorded the abuses to blackmail them and force them to have relations with more Muslim men. When questioned, Yasmeen justified the crimes by saying that helping to rape "infidel girls" would lead her to Paradise. This is Islam.

I went back to the Tijuana River in San Diego County. Raw sewage and toxic waste STILL flowing freely into our state from Mexico. Gavin Newsom has STILL not declared a state of emergency, as local leaders demand. It is completely unacceptable. As governor I WILL declare a state of emergency so we can bring an end to this scandal.

No paid maternity leave. Most of Europe gets 6 months to a year. Paid. Norway gets 49 weeks at full salary. We get 12 weeks unpaid if your company is big enough to qualify. So a mother has a baby. Takes 12 weeks unpaid. Goes back to work because she can’t afford not to. Pays $1,500 a month for daycare because there’s no public option. Works to pay for childcare so she can go to work. And we put a pink ribbon on everything and call it supporting mothers.

What has the last 16 years of one-party rule gotten us in California? The highest cost-of-living, highest unemployment, highest poverty, exploding homelessness, highest taxes, and highest gas prices… Our state government has become so incompetent and useless—it’s time for change. ☀️
