I’m from Chicago, born & raised. Some of my closest friends became killers by the time we was 13-14. I couldn’t even count how many people I knew or grew up with who got killed, gotta be at least 50. I got homies and relatives right now fighting kingpin charges after getting caught with 200+ bricks.

I say all that to say I’ve never cared to talk about street shit because it’s stupid and too many people glamorize it, and there’s nothing glamorous about it.

I know where that road leads. You either end up dead or spending the rest of your life in prison.

So when I see people romanticizing it, I automatically know they’re either lying or stupid, or both. Because anybody who’s knows & seen that life knows there’s nothing cool about burying your friends or watching people you love go to prison forever.

The streets don’t love anybody. And surviving them make you want to get as far away from them as possible, not turn em into your personality.
